We achieve this goal by applying strict quality and safety control at all stages of the production chain and complying with stringent standards along the various processes involved from manufacture through transformation and storage to transport. And last but not least, we continuously invest in the training of our team members and in the modernisation of our chemical and biological test laboratories.

Alibem firmly believes that the sustainable growth of its business depends on practices that contribute to the development and quality of life through initiatives that stimulate environmental preservation.

Therefore, we have adopted the following initiatives:

  • – To ensure the correct disposal of both dry and organic waste;
  • – To encourage environmental awareness among our employees through the rational use of natural resources (recycling, reusing and reducing);
  • – To invest in the search for processes that reduce the demand for water in our operations;
  • – To use the wood from renewable forests as the source of energy;
  • – To continuously assess the efficiency of any processes that may affect the environment.

SOCIETY

We believe that At Valsabor’s business only means something if it is in tune with the social interests of the region in question. This is why one of our principles is to value people and their quality of life within the workplace as well as ethics and transparency in our relationship with its clients, suppliers and employees, the State and the communities we are involved with.

Valsabor  keeps spaces geared to children’s education in partnership with various town councils thus benefitting its workers who may leave their children in a safe, healthy environment while they are at work. The company also encourages the spread of knowledge as well as partnership agreements for the provision of in-company training and courses.

Seeking to improve the quality of life of its employees, Valsabor offers a healthy environment at its industrial units including workplace gymnastics programs; promotes a balanced, healthy diet at the company’s refectories and has a multidiscipline, specialized Work Safety team.

The social arm of the company, the Valsabor Foundation, is a non-profit organization with its headquarters in R. da Cooperativa, that sets up sports and leisure projects that benefit employees and local communities alike. Such activities help social inclusion and strengthen citizenship.
